DIN Sandpit Workshop 2023

The Sydney-based Defence Innovation Network is inviting the Australian research community to participate in the DIN Sandpit Workshop. This online event will be held on 30 March.

The event will feature several problem pitches delivered by Defence and industry aligned with Defence’s focus areas. Refined problems will then form the basis of the call for proposals funded up to $150,000 by the DIN Pilot Projects. 

Problem statements:

• New Advanced Materials for Helmet Systems
• Edge AI-Enabled UAVs with Minimal Communication
• AI-Designed Camouflage System
• Rapid Identification Technology for Pathogen Detection
• Models for Rapid Prediction and Characterisation of Hazards in Urban Environment
• A Novel Tool to Detect Software Vulnerabilities
